XI’AN, Sept. 30, 2026 – The newly renovated Pit No. 2 exhibition hall at the Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum in Xi’an, located in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, has officially reopened its doors to the public just in time for the National Day holiday celebrations.
Following a comprehensive upgrade, the historic exhibition space now offers a significantly more immersive experience. This modern addition casts striking visual effects across the site, bringing the ancient archaeological setting to life for a new generation of visitors.

A major highlight of the revamped facility is its seamless integration of contemporary interactive technology. Among the most popular new attractions is a digital installation that allows guests, including international tourists, to generate personalized terracotta warrior portraits based on their own facial features. This innovative feature creates an engaging and memorable bridge between ancient Chinese history and modern digital innovation.
